The Worship Service
The morning and afternoon worship services consist of the singing, reading, and preaching of the Word of God. Our congregation sings from the Scottish psalter. Examples of congregational singing can be heard here.
God’s Word is the foundation for every aspect of worship and the reading of Scriptures is an integral part of our service. Passages from the Old and New Testaments are read during worship to emphasize the prepared message.
The traditional reformed worship service is many times unfamiliar to those who are visiting. We encourage you to find out more about what we believe about the worship of God and perhaps join us by phone or live video feed to see a worship service firsthand.
Catechism Class
After the afternoon worship service the congregation gathers for a short catechism class taught by one of our church elders. The class deals with the practical application of the Westminster Shorter and Larger Catechisms with special emphasis given to teaching the younger members of the congregation.
The Westminster Catechism is a wonderful tool for laying a strong foundation of doctrine and developing an acute Biblical worldview in the hearts and minds of our congregation.
There is no catechism class during communion season.
Lunch / Fellowship
We invite all visitors to join us for a lunch fellowship following the morning worship service every Lord’s Day. Food is provided by the congregation at large.
